Local Urban Gardens
This section features stories of urban gardens here in Garland Texas. The photo above features the beginning of Liz Berry's garden at 216 East Kingsbridge Drive. In the beginning (June 2013) there were seven raised beds--all replacing part of the front yard. Today there are 46 raised beds. The crops in the initial beds shown above are mostly perennials and include blueberry, blackberry and strawberry plants for the most part.
