The on-line information is from earlier version of the guide and is available for free. The latest, up-to-date version in hard copy is available for $15 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Bookstore.   

The Texas Vegetable Growers’ Handbook was compiled and edited by Drs. Joe Masabni, Frank Dainello, and Sam Cotner.

Our Mission

Loving Garland Green is a group of local Garland residents who believe that local people growing edible plants will also grow a robust and secure local economy. Our mission is to see that Garland has 50,000 urban farmers by the end of 2015--all growing food in their front yard, back yard, patio, windowsill, or in a plot at the Garland Community Garden.
